With the help of your tenants you must try to avoid this from happening. Although Hector is still young, his age has been documented incorrect causing you to already start on a times quest that will initiate Hectors Blissful Sleep procedure. Where the base game focuses more on the totalitarian State that rules her people with an iron fist, Blissful Sleep focuses around a euthanasia center that provides a service called 'Blissful Sleep' to euthanize people when they reach the age of 85. You may even recognize some of the tenants! Hector is the landlord of the same apartment building as the base game. In the Blissful Sleep DLC, you are playing as Hector, and this game takes place sometime before the base game. In short, you can either play for or against the State. The game is very decision-based, causing a lot of forks and different endings depending on your choices and actions. You can receive tasks from either your employer (the Ministry) or the other tenants, as well as 'mystery guests' that either call you, or visit your building. While you are doing all this, you'll also receive some tasks to complete. When you find prohibited items, you can report the tenant, causing them to be arrested and evicted from your building. Based on the information you gather, you can profile the tenants, earning some cash. You can do this by placing camera's in the apartments (making you see what's going on without peeping through the keyhole), by searching their apartments for prohibited items, talking to the tenants about themselves and other tenants.

Because you work for the State, you must spy on your tenants.

The setting of the game is a dystopian future where the totalitarian State controls almost everything in terms of what people can or cannot have, do or say. In the base game, you will be playing as Carl, a landlord of a building with 6 apartments. The setting in the game intrigues me and is not something I have seen in a game yet (but I'm no hardcore gamer). Both the base game and the DLC have some strong 1984 vibes going on (the book by George Orwell).
#BEHOLDER 2 GAME PLUS#
The Game Pass version is the Complete Edition, meaning you get the base game plus the Blissful sleep DLC. Despite the movement issues I encountered (I expect to be addressed in an update) this is a highly enjoyable game that will be easy to spend many hours on without realising just how long.Beholder is a game by Warm Lamp Games that was released in November 2016 and appeared on Game Pass in December 2020. Overall: I love this game, if you enjoyed the original this nice new spin will delight you, if you are new to the series, no prior knowladge needed but I highly recommend playing the original also (they can play as standalone). This is however where my only gripe seemed to come with the game, sometimes it was a struggle to make the character move or move faster than a slow stroll and required a couple of flicks of the stick to get myself on my way again, then occasionally the character would freeze in place with the game still active however I was unable to interact or move and had to load up my prior save.
#BEHOLDER 2 GAME SERIES#
The controls are very simple to learn and remember, keeping it simple seems to be key in this slowly growing series and the controls keep with that philosophy. However the settings are beautifully designed and a great amount of detail has been added all around without compromising the simple design style that we know and love. Visually Beholder 2 is much like the first, sporting the signiture Black & White & Grey tones with big bright white eyes. With plenty missions and mini side quests to go along with your nefarious or legitimate activities, Beholder 2, much like the first, offers hours of great gameplay. Will you plant banned items in their work desk and report them? Or will you befriend and ask them nicely to step aside? The choice is yours but the road to the top is dangerous and long. Using familair mechanics in a whole new way you must reach the top of the ladder and take down whoever stands in your way in whatever manner you see fit. Your father has been killed, you gain a job at The Ministry and you are tasked with finding out what happened. Beholder 2: A Dark, Violent totalitarian game is back! Beholder 2 comes back to us with familiar gameplay, though this time we are provided a Beholder 2: A Dark, Violent totalitarian game is back! Beholder 2 comes back to us with familiar gameplay, though this time we are provided a new setting with a array of different challenges and a whole new story.
